Late Sri S T Nagaraj. Founder
Sri S T Nagaraj completed his B.E in Civil engineering and became a professor in PES College, Mandya. He obtained his Master’s degree in Iowa, USA and served as principal of A.I.C.T.E Chickamagalur for 14 years. He is also one of the fast walkers and has represented India in Asian Games. Though he is not with us at present, his words of inspiration are always a guiding light to S.B Education Trust.
Dr. B. Shivalingaiah. President
Dr B Shivalingaiah, after completing his Ph.D in Hamilton Canada ,served as a professor in P.E.S.C.E Mandya. Couple of years later, he was absorbed by the Karnataka State government where in he worked in various prestigious positions such as Member Secretary, Karnataka State Pollution Control Board(KSPCB) ,Bangalore ,Chairman ,KSPCB, Bangalore and Managing Director of Karnataka Renewable Energy, Bangalore. His strong will and exemplary vision has brought the dreams of S.B.E.T to reality through various institutions.
Smt. Dr. Meera Shivalingaiah. Secretary
Smt Meera Shivalingaiah is herself a renowned name in the field of social work. She has served on the boards of various NGOs and spearheaded numerous social service activities such as health care camps, rural educational camps, rural computer education centres. She has been recognized as the best women entrepreneur multiple times by the state and national governments by bestowing esteemed awards such as “Mother India International Award”, “Best women entrepreneur award”, “Rani Chennamma Award”. The trust has successfully reached thus far under the leadership and guidance of the generous and wholehearted secretary Smt. Meera Shivalingaiah.
Smt. Suma Shivalingaiah. Director & C.E.O
Smt Suma Shivalingaiah has worked in various sectors for 22 years during her career in Information Technology in Melbourne, Australia and has excelled in her work. She has completed her Masters in IT in Australia and ranked first in her bachelor of engineering. She has been an excellent bharatanatyam dancer and carnatic singer. In 2017, she introduced swimming, chess and karate to all students of mandavya institution
Dr Hema Shivalingaiah. Vice President
Dr Hema Shivalingaiah is an eminent interventional cardiologist. She is former associate professor at Sri Jayadeva Institute of cardiovascular sciences and research Mysuru.
She took voluntary retirement to get back to her hometown- Mandya. She now practises both in Mandya and Mysuru districts. Dr Hema is passionate about education and ‘catch them young’ concepts to eradicate cardiovascular diseases in the society. She believes prevention is better than cure since as many as 4 out of 5 heart attacks can be prevented. Dr Hema’s primary education was in Prince Philip and Westwood, Public Schools, Hamilton, Canada Being a bright student, she was put in a gifted children’s class and given double promotion from 2nd to 4th standard.
Dr Hema aims to bring fun and learning on the same platform and started Mandavya Simba kids care in 2008 with the same concepts she learned in Canada It was started with six children, which is now branched into three schools having more than two hundred students.
Late Smt S T Nagalakshmi. Director
Smt S T Nagalakshmi Nagaraj has a versatile innovative personality. She is always encouraging the SBET family in its developmental activities in education and social work. Her enthusiasm and energy has brought rippling effects in the staff and students of S.B.E.T group.
Prakash Babu. Director
Prakash Babu is dedication personified. Working in Ford Motors (Australia). with his multiple degrees M.Tech, MBA in RMIT Australia. He is always helpful to others. He is currently administering the business development and marketing strategies of various institution of the trust and has been a great driving force.
Smt. Lakshmi Shivalingaiah. Director
Smt Lakshmi Shivalingaiah is a powerhouse of talent and creativity. She was awarded “National Balarashree Ratna Award” at the age of twelve for her exceptional academic performance as well as extra curricular achievements. A great dancer and choreographer since childhood, Lakshmi also has completed her junior in Carnatic Classical singing. After securing third rank in 12th grade for Karnataka State, she obtained bachelors of engineering from S.J.C.E, Mysore. She is currently administering the business development and marketing strategies of various institutions of the trust and has been a great driving force.
